CU Urban Market & Cafe began with a passion for creating a space where people can connect and relax. From handcrafted drinks to locally made sweets and easy meals, we bring everything together in one cozy, convenient spot.
How We Started
CU Urban Market & Cafe is a family-owned cafe built by people who simply love coffee & desserts.
We always had a desire to open our own cafe at some point in our lives. We grew up in surroundings where going to a cafe to spend time with our loved ones with a good cup of coffee & desserts became a culture. As this became a culture for many generations 'til now, there are many great coffee shops and dessert shops everywhere, but we realized it's often difficult to find a place that serves both great coffee & desserts, which we've been searching for a long time.
With a great opportunity, our lifetime dream came true, and we decided to become one of those cafes we've been searching for that serves great quality of coffee, desserts, and even quick, easy meals for those who are too exhausted to cook after a busy day at work.
Our Goal
To achieve our goal, we partnered with passionate local roasters and beloved dessert & meal prep experts to serve our neighbors around the area with our desired theme of having a great cup of coffee & dessert, to a nutritious meal. Along with this idea, we also wanted to introduce our local partners to the neighbors who may not have experienced them before due to busyness in life.
The name of our business, "CU Urban Market & Cafe" is very straightforward in its meaning. "CU" stands for "City Urban" as we are located right in the busy street of Seattle Downtown near many residences, companies, and hotels.
Our goal is to serve those around the area with a great cup of coffee, tasty desserts, and delicious meals to keep their day going without having to go far, and become a place they can stop by anytime, whenever they need it.
